Home Visiting

Healthy Families Communities

Human Road signature home visiting program, is one of the leading family support and evidence-based home visiting programs in the United States. We will promote positive parenting and child well-being and prevents the abuse and neglect of children in communities around the world through family-focused and empathic support provided in the home.

Human Road will help parents bring out the best in themselves by tapping into the skills they already possess. Families will receive the support they need based on their specific circumstances. We
help parents develop and achieve goals related to what is most important to them, whether it’s school,
work, housing, childcare, health, relationships, or other life skills.

Benefits of Home Visiting

Our team coach parents on how to bond with their children, parent effectively and stimulate brain development. They also screen kids for health problems and developmental delays, and link parents to resources such as health care, employment training or counseling. Some of the benefits of home visits include identifying barriers and support for family health promotion goals and allowing families to maintain a sense of control in meeting their health care needs.

Human Road have designed programs for overburdened families who are at risk for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), including child maltreatment, domestic violence, substance use disorder and mental health related issues. Decades of research on home visiting shows that home visits by a trained professional during pregnancy and in the first few years of life improves the lives of children and families. Giving children a solid start in their first few years of life increases the opportunity for a brighter, more prosperous future.      See more
